Topic: EnCase LinEN demo + Discussion

Host/Instructor: Frank Zellers, Corona PD /IECFG

Location: Corona PD 730 Corporation Yard Way (may show as "McGrath Dr" on Mapquest), Corona, CA 92880

A demo on EnCase LinEN, including cross-over and USB drive acquisition. Frank will also discuss using SATA to E-SATA cable to acquire a subject system.

EnCase LinEn Utility is a Linux version of the industry-standard DOS-based EnCase acquisition tool. While it performs the same basic function as the DOS version, it overcomes a number of Linux limitations, such as non-Windows operating systems, extremely large hard drives, and acquisition speed.

IECFG is a computer forensic users work group for investigators in the Inland Empire. This is currently a no cost group that is open to both the private and public sectors (including criminal defense).
